It would be better if the video showed you putting on the blindfolds and doing the juggling in one continuous shot, and if you avoided folding or crumpling the blindfolds when you showed them, so we aren't looking at more layers than will actually be in front of your eyes when you're juggling.
My name is Jason and I have a couple questions regarding juggling record keeping.
1. I would like to submit a new record for 3 ball juggling overhead throws (32:58), but I prefer not to post public videos and I could not find this record listed with any of the validating organizations cited in the world record Rules page. Are you able to validate the record via private video?
2. Are there any records kept for juggling weighted objects? For example, the beanbags I used for the overhead throw segment stated above were approximately 7.4 pounds each.
Hi Alex Lubker, my name is Hadrien de crozals, I am a passionate juggler for 3 years, I live in France, and I would like to know if it is possible to have a Juggle Wiki page to help me to know by illustrating my performances?
A student of mine is publishing a paper on juggling in The Pentagon, the journal of the mathematical honor society Kappa Mu Epsilon. He would like to use the image "State1.jpg" used in the Juggle Wiki article "State Notation." Would you be able to give such permission?
I updated the diabolo page a couple of days ago and see you reverted it. You correctly noted that Jan is hovering.
However, is there any reason to assume that the other records as recorded on IJDB didn't do that? And should there not be a mention at least otherwise of the longest time keeping 2 diabolos in the string, which at least we have video evidence of now?
PS: I probably wont see a response here, I'll try to think of checking in later but feel free to also PM me at Object Episodes or send an email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm not a diaboloist, but it seems to me that a record for a shuffle should require keeping all the diabolos going in the shuffle the whole time. Is there any reason that shouldn't be required? (The notes on some of the 2 diabolo records on IJDb do suggest that they weren't necessarily always done that way...)
Depends on if it is a "2 diabolo in string" record or a "2 diabolo clean shuffle" record. I'm not a diaobolo player either, but from the attempt that Jan made I would imagine it is difficult to run 2d for a long time without hovers. With hovers, 30 minutes is hardly impressive, as you see in the video. Maybe this is one for future recordbreakers to figure out what they want to call it, but until there is proof of someone doing a 30 minute 2 diabolo shuffle without wraps, this should be the 'official' record?
I think the low diabolo records on Juggle Wiki should be just for continuous shuffling. If someone took one out and hovered it in the middle of a 3 diabolo run and kept shuffling with just 2, I wouldn't count that as a 3 diabolo record.
