Isolation is juggling while standing on a small platform, such as a chair. This demonstrates control and accurate throws, by preventing the juggler from walking around while juggling.
Since 2008, the WJF Overall Championship has included Isolated Endurance competitions (endurance competitions with all the jugglers standing on chairs) for 7 balls, 7 rings, 7 clubs, and 5 club backcrosses.
In 2010, the WJF had a 7 Club Isolated Endurance video competition (WJF Competition Blitz 3) which was won by Vova Galchenko, with 72 catches. While Vova was making his video for the competition, he also did a run of 90 catches, which was a new world record for 7 club isolated endurance at the time, but he chose not to use that as his competition entry because it didn't have a clean finish.
