The European Juggling Convention (EJC) is held in a different European city each year. The convention is organized by local committees supported by the European Juggling Association (EJA), a non-profit association founded in 1987 in Saintes, France.
The first EJC, held in Brighton, England in 1978, was a gathering of eleven European members of the International Jugglers' Association, organized by Lynn Thomas as an alternative to traveling to America for the IJA convention. Since 1987, the EJC has been the largest juggling convention in the world, with attendance in the thousands each year.
