Cup sticks are hand-held sticks with cups attached to the end, used as an extension of the arms to juggle balls by catching them in the cups. In basic cup stick juggling, the cup sticks are used in place of the hands to juggle balls rather than being juggled themselves, but you can also do tricks that involve throwing the cup sticks.

The stick can be either perpendicular to the opening of the cup and attached to the bottom (resembling a plunger), or in the same plane as the opening of the cup and attached to the side (resembling a spoon).

Plunger-style cup sticks were commonly used by jugglers in the 19th century. Spoon-style cup sticks were invented by Tom Breen in the early 20th century, and were known as Breenos.

The Renegade Cuphead club, created in 2010, is a juggling club that can also be used as a plunger-style cup stick. The latest club in this style is the Cuphead 2.0 club, first made available in 2023 by Jay Gilligan and Niels Duinker through NDjuggling.
