Asymmetric patterns are patterns in which the full set of throws is made on one side of the pattern and is not completely repeated on the other side. Any asynchronous siteswap that has an even amount of numbers (when written without unnecessary repetition) is asymmetric. Asymmetric patterns can help in performing when the dominant hand is comfortable with a type of throw and the non-dominant hand is not. They are also helpful in building the non-dominant hand without taxing the energy of both sides.
