(6x,4)(6,4x) is an asymmetric synchronous 5 object siteswap where you alternate between doing a pair of throws from the pattern (6x,4)* and a pair of throws from (6,4x)*.

One hand throws all of the 6s, alternating crossing and non-crossing, while the other hand throws all of the 4s, alternating non-crossing and crossing throws, respectively. The non-crossing 4s are always done with the same object. The high throws should be almost three times as high as the low throws.

Before learning (6x,4)(6,4x), you should already be good at (6x,4)*, (6,4x)*, (6x,4)(2,0)(6,4x)(0,2), and (6x,4)(6,4x)(0,4) (starting from both sides).

You can switch to a continuous (6x,4)* or (6,4x)* pattern at any time, as long as you always alternate throwing two objects to the left and throwing two objects to the right. You can also transition in and out of the cascade the same way you would with one of those patterns.
